Terms and conditions

What you're signing up for, what we give you, what we expect from you and how either of us can end the relationship.

1. Who we are

SpendTick is a service provided by COMPLETAR: razón social, CUIT COMPLETAR: CUIT, with its address at COMPLETAR: domicilio legal, Argentina. It's an Argentine company: it provides the service to other countries from there, without local subsidiaries. For anything related to these terms, contact finanzascokpartidas@gmail.com.

Using the service means accepting these terms. If you disagree with any part, don't use it — and if you were already using it, you can close your account anytime as explained below.

2. What the service does

It's a tool to track and split expenses between people who share a home, a trip or a group. It does the math with the data you enter.

It's not a financial service. We don't move money, we don't collect or pay on your behalf, we have no access to your bank accounts and we don't give financial, accounting or tax advice. The balances shown are the arithmetic result of what you entered: if you entered something wrong, the math will be wrong, and we can't detect that.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to open an account.
  • The details you give when signing up must be true, and keeping them up to date is your responsibility.
  • You're responsible for your password. If you suspect someone got into your account, let us know and change it.
  • An account belongs to one person. You can share a household with others, but each of you logs in with your own.

4. What you enter is yours

Your expenses, income, receipts and everything you enter remain yours. We don't sell them, we don't share them with third parties for commercial purposes and we don't use them for advertising.

You give us permission to process it only to provide the service: store it, show it to you, do the math, send you the reminders you asked for and generate the spreadsheets you download. Nothing else. The details are in the privacy policy.

5. Plans, prices and billing

  • All plans start with a 30-day free trial, no card required.
  • You pay per account, not per person: whoever opens the account chooses and pays for the plan, and the people they add to their households and groups don't pay.
  • Each plan includes a number of households, open groups and people, listed on the pricing page. If an account goes over it —for example, after downgrading— nothing is deleted, but you can't add more until you free up space or change plans.
  • Prices are listed in US dollars. Payments for accounts in Estados Unidos aren't available yet: until they are, your account can use the Free plan with no time limit, and we'll email you as soon as you can pay from there.
  • The subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it.
  • If we change prices, we'll email you 30 days in advance. The increase applies from your next renewal, never to a period already paid.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription anytime from Settings, without calling anyone or giving reasons. Canceling stops the next renewal: you keep using the service until the end of the period you already paid for.

If you signed up less than 14 days ago, you can change your mind and we'll refund everything. How it's done.

After you cancel you can still log in to see and download everything you've entered. What stops is adding new things. We don't delete anything on our own: if you want it deleted, ask and it will be.

7. What you can't do

  • Use the service for anything illegal, or to enter other people's data without their knowledge.
  • Try to access other accounts' data, or probe the system looking for holes. If you find one by accident, let us know: we'll be grateful, not upset.
  • Automate usage at a volume that degrades the service for everyone else.
  • Resell the service, or pass it off as your own.

If any of this happens we may suspend the account. Unless it's serious or urgent, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service always available, but we can't promise it will never go down: it also depends on infrastructure providers we don't control. When we do scheduled maintenance, we'll let you know in advance.

We make regular backups. Even so, the app lets you download everything you've entered as a spreadsheet whenever you want, and it's a good idea to do it now and then.

9. Liability

The service is provided as is. Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.

None of this limits the rights the consumer protection law of your country of residence gives you: if anything here contradicts those rules, the rules prevail.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change them, we'll email you 30 days in advance. If you don't like the change, you can cancel before it takes effect and we'll refund the unused portion of anything you prepaid.

11. Governing law and complaints

This agreement is governed by Argentine law, where the company is registered. That doesn't take away the mandatory protections the law of your country of residence gives you — described in section 9 — which still apply even if this paragraph says otherwise.

Before it comes to that, write to us at finanzascokpartidas@gmail.com: almost everything gets sorted by talking. If not, you can complain to your country's consumer protection agency.

For accounts in this country, this version, in this language, is the one that applies.
