Privacy policy

What data of yours we have, why we have it, who else handles it and how you take it with you or delete it. No fine print: if something isn't here, we don't do it.

Who is responsible

The data controller is COMPLETAR: razón social, CUIT COMPLETAR: CUIT, address COMPLETAR: domicilio legal. It's an Argentine company: it has no office or local representative outside Argentina. To exercise any of the rights below, write to finanzascokpartidas@gmail.com.

What data we keep

  • From your account: email, the name or nickname you choose, a profile photo if you upload one, and your preferred language, country and theme. We don't store your password: we store a one-way hash that can't be reversed.
  • What you enter: expenses, income, categories, amounts, dates, notes, goals and the investment accounts you add. It's the content of the service.
  • Receipts: only the ones you ask to keep. The ones you upload to read the amount are processed and discarded.
  • Contact details for reminders: your WhatsApp number, if you add it, and the browser notification subscription, if you turn them on.
  • Minimal technical data: server logs with the IP address and time of each request, used to detect abuse and debug errors. They're kept for 30 days.
  • How you found us: if you arrived from a campaign link or another site (a social network, a search engine), the name of that site or campaign, once, when you create your account. Nothing else: not the exact address you came from nor identifiers from those networks. Nothing is stored in your browser.
  • Which screens you open: the screen's name and the time, to know which parts of the app are used and which aren't needed. Never what you entered: no amounts, descriptions or names. It's kept for 180 days and never leaves our servers.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, we have no social media pixels and there's no third-party analytics. The three cookies that exist are detailed on the cookies page.

What we use it for

  • Provide the service: do the math, show you your months, generate the spreadsheets you download.
  • Send you the reminders you turned on, through the channel you chose. You can turn them all off.
  • Charge your subscription and issue the receipt, if payments are already available in your country.
  • Keep the service running and secure: detect abuse, fix bugs.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties for commercial purposes. We don't train artificial intelligence models on your account's content.

The legal basis for these uses is the agreement you accept when you create your account and, for WhatsApp or push reminders, your consent when you turn them on, which you can withdraw anytime by turning them off.

Bills and photos

When you take a photo of a receipt, the text is extracted on your own phone: the image never leaves the device. When you upload a PDF bill, it's read on the server to get the amount and due date, and the file is discarded unless you've marked it to keep.

If you connect your Gmail so bills are added automatically, we ask for read-only permission and only look for emails from the providers you set up. We don't read the rest of your mail, and you can disconnect anytime from Settings or from your Google account.

Who else handles your data

To provide the service we rely on providers who act on our behalf and only for that:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, or if you connect Gmail to read bills.
  • SendGrid — sending reminder emails.
  • CallMeBot — sending WhatsApp reminders, if you turn them on.

Some of these providers have servers outside Argentina, so your data may be stored or processed abroad. We also hand over data if a competent authority requires it through a valid legal process.

The main database is hosted in Brazil (São Paulo). For data that leaves your country we rely on the contractual safeguards these providers offer their customers, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. If you close it, we delete everything within 30 days, except what we're legally required to keep —billing receipts, basically—.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, update it and ask for it to be deleted, as well as to take them to another service and to object to or ask us to limit how they're used. Almost everything is done right in the app, without asking anyone for permission:

  • View and correct: everything you've entered can be edited in the app itself.
  • Take it with you: Settings → Your data → download the spreadsheet with everything.
  • Delete your account: Settings → Your data → delete. It's permanent.

If you'd rather ask in writing, write to finanzascokpartidas@gmail.com and we'll reply within 10 days.

If we don't reply, or you disagree with our answer, you can complain to your country's data protection authority.

Minors

The service is for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from minors; if we find out an account belongs to a minor, we close it and delete the data.

If there's an incident

If something compromises your data, we'll email you within 72 hours of detecting it, explaining what happened, which data was affected and what we're doing about it. Even if it's embarrassing.
